IT Teaching &Training for Children and Youth

The DTI Center empowers children and young adult learners with the IT tools and knowledge essential for success in a technology-driven economy. This initiative specifically targets children and young adults from under-resourced communities, providing them with vital Information Technology (IT) knowledge and practical digital skills.

To accommodate learners’ schedules, the center offers IT training during weekends and school holidays. This approach ensures that students can build essential digital skills without disrupting their regular school commitments. Many students are only available during these times, making our weekend and holiday programs accessible to a broader range of learners.

During weekdays, the center offers IT training to young adults who are not enrolled in regular school. These individuals participate in two-hour training sessions each day, allowing them to maintain their daily activities. The center provides opportunities for these young adults to acquire practical skills that will enhance their employability, support entrepreneurship, and promote long-term economic independence. The DTI Center offers a variety of courses organized into three levels of teaching and training:
  • Basic Level
This level provides digital literacy and foundational courses, equipping learners with essential knowledge and practical skills.
  • Intermediate Level
Building on the basics, this level focuses on more advanced courses.
  • Advanced Level
This level offers optional specialized courses that allow learners to concentrate on specific IT fields that align with their career goals and competencies. These specialized training programs cater to IT professionals across various domains, including coding, graphic design, Python/AI, web development, mobile application development, networking, data science, cybersecurity, robotics, game design, and more.

Research, Innovation and Mentorship
The DTI Center empowers children and young people to shape the future through curiosity, creativity, and courage. We encourage learners to engage in research, foster innovation, and seek meaningful mentorship. For children and youth in underserved communities, access to IT education, research, and innovation opportunities can be life-changing. Strengthening IT research, innovation, and mentorship in these communities ensures that young people are not left behind in the digital age. Our commitment is to create environments where young people feel seen, heard, and supported—spaces where questions are welcomed, imagination is valued, and learning becomes a lifelong adventure. Through hands-on exploration, collaborative projects, and guidance from experienced mentors, children and young adults discover their strengths, nurture their talents, and develop the skills necessary to thrive. This approach equips them with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to tackle both local and global challenges. As a result, children and young adults gain confidence not only in their technical and creative abilities but also in their capacity to participate responsibly and competitively in the online economy. The end result is a generation of young people who can design, prototype, and refine their own products, services, or social innovations that hold potential for successful entry into the market.
